Are there different styles of compression stockings?
Yes! There are different models and lengths of compression stockings available that have a variety of materials and colours to choose from. These different materials will include different thicknesses that all maintain the prescribed compression gradient recommended by your doctor, however, these styles will offer different working pressures.
The working pressure of your compression stockings can become very important to consider depending on your condition being treated. We will discuss this with you during your appointment.
There are three lengths available in compression stockings ranging from knee high, thigh high, and pantyhose. 

What to expect during your compression assessment?
During your assessment we will review your prescription and show you a few different options that would be appropriate to help treat your condition.
The sizing of the compression stockings are determined by taking a few measurements of your leg. The measurements required are determined by the length of compression stocking prescribed. The majority of patients fit very well in the sizing system offered by compression brands, however, there is a custom "made to measure" fit available if required.

How long do compression stockings take to be ordered?
Compression stockings generally take 1-2 weeks to be ordered, while custom made to measure stockings can take 2-4 weeks. At your pick up appointment we will review how to wear your compression stockings as well as go over how to care for them properly.
